Position Title: RNA - Restorative Nursing Assistant
Location: Van Nuys
Department: Barlow satellite at VPH
Hours/Shifts: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, W/E only Sat/Sun. Days
Union: Union/Non-Exempt
Summary: Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, assists patients in meeting daily personal and comfort needs. Functions as a integral part of the healthcare team through collaborative practice patterns which fulfill the standards of Barlow Respiratory Hospital’s case management plans. Performs general restorative techniques as related to specific physical or occupational therapy treatment program as instructed/demonstrated by Physical Therapist/Occupational Therapist.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 1 year direct patient care experience.
- California C.N.A,/RNA Certificate.
- Current BCLS Card.
- Evidence of training/experience in PT/OT treatment activities is desirable.
- Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and caring to all patients.
