Our multidisciplinary medical team is lead by our Medical Director, Dr. David Nelson, M.D., Board Certified Pulmonologist. Our interdisciplinary clinical teams include certified Critical Care Registered Nurses with specialized knowledge of nursing care of acutely and critically ill patients who work as a team with our licensed Respiratory, Occupational and Physical therapists, registered dieticians and speech language pathologists.

  2. How are treatment plans developed?

    At Barlow Respiratory Hospital, physicians and registered nurses work with our interdisciplinary clinical teams, case managers and social workers to develop patient treatment and discharge plans.

  4. Do patients have on-site access to other specialists?

    At Barlow Respiratory Hospital, our interdisciplinary teams include board certified physicians, registered nurses and licensed respiratory and rehabilitation therapists. We include access to specialized affiliated physicians and work together to provide each patient individualized goals of care and a treatment and discharge plan to achieve the most complete recovery possible.
  5. Do caregivers assist with discharge and insurance questions?
