Barlow Educational Evening: Addressing Difficult Behaviors

Participants learn how to objectively identify behavior in order to better address “difficult” behavior, causes of difficult behavior and specific techniques to address it. Participants will receive a specific chart on how to utilize the “Problem-Solving/Decision-Making” process in order to effectively address behavioral concerns.

Learning Objectives:
1) Define behaviors vs. labels
2) Identify many of the causes of difficult behaviors.
3) Identify specific methods/remedies to address difficult behaviors.
4) Apply a specific problem-solving/decision making process to address behaviors.

 About the Presenter:

Ervin R. Munro has a Master’s degree in School Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

He is an award-winning private Consultant and Trainer for social service agencies in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

He has worked in the field of behavioral health care for over 35 years as a licensed school psychologist, educator, Director of Social Services, operations manager, and case manager in a variety of settings. He is board member of National Association of Case Management and has presented this training for County of Los Angeles, Department of Health Services, USC, social service agencies, and conferences.
