RN Job Description:

RN provides direct nursing care including assessment, plan of care, education, and evaluation for assigned patients. RN provides patient care under the direction of a preceptor during orientation period. New Grad RN works according to scope of practice and hospital policy under the direction and supervision of the Charge Nurse, House Supervisor, and/or Clinical Director.

RN Integrates biopsychosocial concepts, cognitive skills, and technically competent practice in providing care to patients with simple or complex needs.

Barlow Respiratory Hospital Nursing Residency Program is an in-depth training program designed to prepare new grad nurse (RN) with the specialized skills needed to provide exemplary nursing care for medically-complex and ventilated patients.

Who can apply to this program?

New grad RNs

Experienced healthcare professionals transitioning from Skilled Nursing Facilities to Acute Care will receive credit

Foreign Visa Sponsorship is available for Canadian Nurses

Qualifications:

Current California RN license

BLS

Experience:

New grad RN welcome

One year of nursing experience in tele or critical care unit preferred

RNs transitioning from Skilled Nursing Facilities to Acute Care welcome

Acute care RN/LVN experience-a plus
