Occupational Therapy Assistant, Per Diem
Under supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist performs occupational therapy services.
Provides occupational therapy services, such as energy conservation, activities of daily living, etc, which promote quality and continuity of patient care.
Reports changes in patient’s condition, progress or lack towards goals.
Requests assistance from Occupational Therapist in meeting treatment goals.
Completes all required documentation.
Attends inservices, team conferences and staff meetings on a regular basis.
Adheres to all departmental, hospital policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as requested, such as:
•ADL care of patients
•Preparation of patients for treatments
•Assists with wound care protocol/skin integrity program
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Knowledge of medical terminology
•Continuing Education Courses in Occupational Therapy
