GALA Postponed

(Los Angeles) Barlow Respiratory Hospital has announced the 2022 gala will be postponed.

In a message to donors, Barlow Respiratory Hospital CEO Amit Mohan and Development Director Rebecca Suter, said,

“We were looking forward to seeing all our friends and supporters at this milestone celebration. The past two years have been marked by uncertainty and many ups and downs. While we envisioned a festive gathering at our downtown campus on Stadium Way, we have come to realize that this is not the best time to gather in close spaces with one another. We thank our donors, sponsors, supporters and friends and look forward to safer, better times in the near future and hope to see everyone then!”

The gala was planned to celebrate Barlow Respiratory History 120-years of service to and to benefit the hospital’s Campaign to ReBuild Barlow to fund a new state-of-the-art hospital on Stadium Way in Los Angeles.

Barlow Respiratory Hospital is the only not-for-profit respiratory hospital in California. As one of the first tuberculosis sanatoriums in California and one of the longest continuously operating non-profit respiratory hospitals in the nation, Barlow remains a leader in expert respiratory care in Los Angeles. Barlow Foundation Gala Dinner Co-Chairs Carrie Brillstein and Dan Weinstein and Event Committee members Michael Berger, Earl E. Gales, Jr., Dario Frommer, Nancy Katayama, Diane Naegele, Beverly Sassoon and Charley Steiner shared in announcement of the postponement and expressed hope for a future opportunity to commemorate this important milestone.
